N. Balakrishnan is a Professor of Statistics at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Communications in Statistics and Executive Editor of Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference. He is currently Associate Editor of several journals including Journal of Probability and Statistical Science, Test and Metrika. He is co-author or co-editor of over 40 books and handbooks including Volumes 1 & 2 of Continuous Univariate Distributions, A Primer on Statistical Distributions and Discrete Multivariate Distributions. He is a Fellow of American Statistical Association, Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and various other honors for his professional achievements.

M.C. (Chris) Jones is Professor of Statistical Science at the Open University, U.K. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute, and is listed in ISIHighlyCited.Com. Among many editorial duties, he has been Joint Editor of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series B. Chris Jones is the author or co-author of 155 published papers and three books; his research has  been formerly in statistical smoothing methodology and latterly in distribution theory and inference, with sojourns into a number of other areas, both theoretical and practical, along the way.

Paul Speckman is a Professor in the Department of Statistics for the past 30 years at University of Missouri. Previously, he taught at the University of Oregon. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. He has a very broad research interest, including, but not limited to, theoretical and computational statistics, Bayesian statistics, nonparametric curve estimation, smoothing splines, and semiparametric models, risk estimation and longitudinal data analysis.
