Joseph McKean is a Professor of Statistics in the Department of
Statistics, Western Michigan University. He is a Fellow of the
American Statistical Association. He has published numerous
papers on robust procedures for linear, generalized linear, and
mixed models. These include papers on the theory for robust
estimation and testing, the geometry of robust inference, the
small sample properties of robust inference, and software for
statistical computation. Besides robust procedures, Dr. McKean
has published in the areas of generalized linear models,
nonparametric statistics, time series analyses. and bootstrap
analyses. He has co-authored a monograph on robust
nonparametric inference with Dr. Thomas Hettmansperger and an
introductory mathematical statistics text with Dr. Robert
Hogg. He has directed 25 doctoral dissertations.
Ram Tripathi is a Professor of Statistics
in the Department of Management Science and Statistics,
University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a Fellow of the
American Statistical Association. His research interests are
Models for count data, Inflated models, Biostatistics,
Pharmacokinetics and Survival Analysis. He has published papers
on the development and applications of models for count data in
major statistical journals such as the Journal of the American
Statistical Association, Journal of the Royal Statistical
Society, Sankhya, Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference,
Communications in Statistics, Computational Statistics and Data
Analysis. He has developed models for analyzing inflated data
and some recent work for comparing survival functions in the
presence of censoring which appeared in JSPI and Journal of
Nonparametric Statistics.
Evdokia Xekalaki
is a Professor at the Department of Statistics, Athens
University of Economics and Business, and chaired the department
for eight years. Prior to
her current appointment, she was a Professor at the Athens
University of Economics and Business, a faculty at University of
Iowa and University of Missouri. Her research interests
include distribution theory and its applications, stochastic
model building and model evaluation, stochastic
volatility, inventory decision problems, accident theory, and
others. Professor Xekalaki has published over 60 refereed
articles in various international journals. She is a fellow of
the Royal Statistical Society, an elected member of the
International Statistical Institute. She is Associate Editor of
the Journal of Applied Stochastic Models in Business and
Industry (since 2004) and acted as Editor-in-Chief of the
journal of Quality Technology and Quantitative Management
(2004-2006).
Ramesh Gupta is a Professor at the Department of Mathematics &
Statistics, University of Maine. He is a Fellow of American
Statistical Association and an Elected member of the
International Statistical Institute. His research interest
include, but not limited to, in discrete and continuous distributions,
reliability and survival analysis, statistical inference, and
others. He served as Associated Editor for over ten statistical
journals. He has published more than 130 papers in a wide
variety of theoretical and applied journals. |
