Internship and or a job:

Most companies conduct a thorough interview for interns just like
interviewing for job hiring. You should treat an internship interview like a
job interview.
·
Prepare an updated resume.
·
Carefully browse through the company’s web site to learn about the
company.
·
In your letter to the company, state the relevant skills and
experiences related to the internship description, if any.
·
During the interview, you should dress professionally.
·
Answer the questions honestly and confidently.
·
Do not be shy to ask questions.
·
Do not ask about salary unless the interviewer mentions it.
v Once you secure an internship, what do you need to do
in order to be counted as your STA 695 or STA 795
Internship credits?
You
will need to complete the following two required forms in order to register to
the Internship course (STA 795 or STA 695),
which
are provided as Appendix in the Internship
Handbook. These forms are:
i.
Appendix F: Non-Teaching
Internship Application Form (To be completed by the student)
ii.
Appendix G: Non-Teaching Internship Credit Agreement Form (To be Completed by the Field Supervisor)
iii.
If you are an international student, you need to complete additional
forms:
a. Complete the Agreement
Form between CMU and the Agency (Appendix J)
b. Visit the International Student
Office to find out the current USA Policy for international students to take a
required Industrial Internship.

your final internship report. Follow the internship report format to prepare
your internship report and submit it by e-mail to the Faculty Internship
Coordinator. |

submitting your internship report, schedule a meeting with the Faculty
Internship Coordinator to discuss your internship experience. Faculty
Internship Coordinator will assign you a grade. |
