Call for Papers

All of the papers presented in the conference are invited presentations. The conference presenters will be invited to submit their full papers to the Journal of Statistical Distributions and Applications for consideration of possible publication in the ‘ICOSDA2016 Special Issue’. The submitted papers will go through the same peer-review process as a regular submission.

We continue to accept the general-invited papers and student poster presentations with new deadline on May 31, 2016. The acceptance decision will be made by June 20, 2016.

New Topic-Invited Session is closed. Those who have agreed to organized a Topic-Invited session, if you have not submit the titles and abstracts, please e-mail your completed form to carl Lee using e-mail ICOSDA2016@cmich.edu when you are ready.

Student Poster Presentation

This conference will feature the following types of presentations:

· Keynote and Plenary speakers:

Three keynote speakers and four plenary speakers are arranged.

Complete the Title and Abstract Form and send it to Carl Lee using e-mail: ICOSDA2016@cmich.edu.

· Topic-Invited sessions organized by scientific program committee members:

Each of the scientific committee members will organize an invited session with the topic of common interest. Each session has four speakers for a total of 80 minutes.

Invitation to organize Topic-Invited sessions

We welcome researchers who are interested in organizing Topic-Invited sessions. If you are interested in doing so, please contact the Organizing Co-Chair, Carl Lee at lee1c@cmich.edu with the Session Topic and a session abstract (50 words or less). If it is accepted, you will be a Scientific Program Committee Member.

The deadline for submitting a Topic-Invited session is February 15^th, 2016.

The deadline for submitting the titles and abstracts of a topic-invited session speakers is April 30^th, 2016.

Those who agreed to organize Topic-Invited sessions, if you have not submit the titles and abstracts, please e-mail your completed form to carl Lee using e-mail ICOSDA2016@cmich.edu when you are ready.

The responsibilities of a Topic-Invited session organizer include:

1) Determine the topic and a brief abstract (50 words or less) for the session.

2) Submit the topic-invited session title and the abstract to the conference co-chair: Carl Lee at lee1c@cmich.edu by February 15^th, 2016.

3) Invite four speakers (may include the organizer) for the session and collect the titles and abstracts of the presentations in the session.

4) Complete and submit the Topic-Invited Session Submission Form to Carl Lee using the e-mail address: ICOSDA2016@cmich.edu by April 30^th, 2016.

5) Inform all session speakers the completion of your submission and remind them to register for the conference.

· General-Invited speaker sessions:

For researchers who are not in a topic-invited session, we welcome individual researchers to make presentation of their research work that is within the scopes of the conference. The presentation for a general-invited speaker will be 20 minutes.

The NEW deadline for submitting the title and abstract for consideration is April 30^th, 2016. NEW DEADLINE: May 31, 2016

The acceptance of the presentation will be announced around May 20^th, 2016. NEW DEADLINE: June 20, 2016

The process of submitting a paper to a General-Invited session:

1) Prepare the abstract of the paper.

2) Complete and submit the General-Invited Session Submission Form to Carl Lee using the e-mail address: ICOSDA2016@cmich.edu by April 30^th, 2016. May 31, 2016.

3) The acceptance of the paper for presentation will be announced around May 20^th, 2016 June 20, 2016.

· Student Poster Session:

The conference will have a poster session only for students. This will give student presenters a one-hour period for sharing and discussing their research topics with researchers. Any graduate student is welcome to submit her/his research work as a poster presentation. Partial support may be available for student poster presenters. Announcement of support will be made if it becomes available.

The NEW deadline of submission for consideration of a poster presentation is April 30^th, 2016. NEWDEADLINE : May 31, 2016

The acceptance of the poster presentation will be announced by May 20^th, 2016. NEW DEADLINE: June 20, 2016
