Use the the Mth 132 web site and e-mail to increase
communication. It-
- is a course information archive
- announces course events and assignments
due
- contains a link to the Blackboard website
- a posting place for examples, exercise
solutions, and support
- provides links to external resources
You will be accountable for assignments announced
at this web site so it will be necessary to check here regularly.
Checking once between each two consecutive class meetings should be your
minimum. Daily assignments will be announced only on the page accessed
through the Assignments button. I will attempt to use the NEWS
page to announce significant new information so these two buttons are
the crucial ones to examine regularly. I will also try to keep you informed
through announcements in class and occasionally e-mail but the web page
is the complete communication source. Plan to use regular visits to the
web site as your main contact.
The course's Blackboard account can be accessed through the button labeled
"Blackboard" on the web site or by directly using the URL, blackboard.cmich.edu.
Required visits to Blackboard will be carefully announced but the Discussion
List area of Blackboard is worthy of daily visits. If you are not successful in signing on to Blackboard, read the brief Logon
Instructions. On your first visits to the the course web site and
to Blackboard, you should try all the buttons in order to become
familiar with what material is found behind each one. Above all, read
the FAQ page! Remember that unread e-mail and unvisited web pages
are no more effective than traditional postal mail would be if you
did
not regularly retrieve mail from your mailbox. Warning! This
web site will not serve as a substitute for class attendance. |
